KEEPING IT LIT FOUNDERS

Debra and Jabari Steward

Debra and Jabari Steward are the husband and wife team behind

Keeping It Lit Media and the creators of The Keeping It Lit Signature Framework for Marriage Transformation: A biblically grounded model designed to address the root of all marital struggles: Disconnect. Disconnect from God, and disconnect from each other.

From this framework, they developed The Relational Plan: A groundbreaking, results-driven pathway that equips Christians in every stage of The Marriage Journey. Unlike traditional approaches that begin after the wedding, The Relational Plan recognizes that the marriage journey begins when you are single. Whether preparing for marriage, adjusting to newlywed life, or navigating decades together, this plan provides the clarity and tools needed to build a marriage that is deeply connected, alive with excitement,

and rooted in purpose.

What began as a calling in their own marriage

has become a Global Movement shaping healthy Marriage Culture

in The Body of Christ. Today, their message resounds in 15 nations across 6 continents, defined by a single declaration: We are Marriage Culture.

Debra and Jabari have shared their story at Saddleback Church South Bay, partnered with Bishop J.L. Sorrells to co-produce Keeping It Lit Live: West Coast Vibes Edition, and continue to expand their global reach through live events, digital platforms, and strategic partnerships. The fruit speaks for itself. Within 24 hours of one live event, a couple in attendance got engaged, sparking a surprise proposal in the middle of a church service.

They host The Lit Lounge Live! podcast, where they share their story and bring clarity, thought leadership, and connection to The Body of Christ.

Debra and Jabari are on a mission to equip Christian singles and Christian couples with a proven Relational Plan that works in every season of life.

Trusted Voices of Lasting Change

Their story resonates because it’s real. Like many couples, they once found themselves caught in the busyness of life—showing up more for their schedules than they were for their own marriage. They weren’t struggling because of a lack of love; they were simply drifting apart without even realizing it. That realization changed everything. Determined to rebuild the bond they once had, they created The Keeping It Lit Signature Framework for Marriage Transformation, a proven approach that empowers couples with intentional tools to deepen connection at every level.
