Debra and Jabari Steward

Debra and Jabari Steward Formation Architects and Architects of The L2M Formation System

Marriage Formation Architects

Debra and Jabari Steward build discipleship pathways

for married couples and The Body of Christ.

As co-founders of Keeping It Lit Media, they equip couples to strengthen their connection with God and one another through biblical teaching, intentional rhythms, and practical discipleship.

Their work exists to fill a gap the Church can no longer afford to ignore.

Many couples receive sermons, encouragement, events, and crisis care. Far fewer are given clear discipleship pathways that train godliness in the daily realities of marriage.

Debra and Jabari believe marriage is not peripheral to discipleship.

Marriage is a high-impact environment of Christian formation where faith is practiced, tested, and revealed.

Through Keeping It Lit Media, The L2M Formation System, and Private Advisory, they provide pathways that help couples practice spiritual connection, selflessness and service, communication in love, and forgiveness and grace before marriage struggles become pastoral emergencies.

Their Signature Framework has helped couples experience a 46% increase in marriage connection after participating in a live training environment.

Their article, Marriage As A Primary Site of Christian Formation, has also been approved for publishing in The Journal of Contemporary Christian Practice, advancing the conversation around marriage as a central environment for Christian discipleship.

For Debra and Jabari, this work, birthed from their lived experience, is deeply personal. They are not simply building resources for marriages. They are helping strengthen the places where discipleship is lived every day: the home, the local church, and The Body of Christ.

Trusted Voices of Lasting Change

Debra and Jabari didn’t create The Keeping It Lit Signature Framework from theory. They created it from the moment they realized something was quietly happening in their own marriage.

They loved God.

They loved each other.

But unexamined busyness had started pulling their attention away from their connection with God and one another.

That realization became a turning point.

They stopped assuming connection would take care of itself and began practicing marriage with intention.

Out of that lived experience came The Keeping It Lit Signature Framework: a biblical pathway that helps couples practice spiritual connection, selflessness and service, communication in love, and forgiveness and grace with clarity and purpose.
