Marriage Formation Architects

Debra and Jabari Steward are Marriage Connection Health practitioners, Marriage Formation Architects, and co-founders of Keeping It Lit Media.

Their work sits at the intersection of Christian media,

Marriage Connection Health, and marriage discipleship.

As Marriage Formation Architects, they develop systems and pathways that help couples put God first in the place where their marriage is lived most:

At home.

Through thought leadership, proprietary frameworks, and discipleship pathways, Debra and Jabari are defining a more proactive approach to Christian marriage discipleship.

At the center of their work is Marriage Connection Health, an emerging approach built on a defining principle: connection is an input, not an outcome.

Intentional rhythms of connection create measurable inputs that can be observed over time, giving couples

greater visibility into the health of their marriage.

Their work moves marriage ministry upstream, equipping couples before reactive relational care is needed and giving churches and denominations

a proactive pathway for marriage formation.

Debra and Jabari believe marriage is a primary site of Christian formation.

A high-impact environment where faith is practiced,

tested, and revealed every day.

Through Keeping It Lit Media, they extend this work through publishing, podcasts, digital platforms, technology, and live and virtual experiences for couples, churches, denominations, and Christian organizations.

Their Signature Framework has helped couples experience significant increases in marriage connection through Keeping It Lit Live.

Their article, Marriage As A Primary Site of Christian Formation, has been approved for publication in The Journal of Contemporary Christian Practice, advancing the broader conversation around marriage, discipleship, and Christian formation.

Their work is rooted in lived experience and a larger mission: move marriage formation upstream before problems downstream demand intervention.
